Mei(signature):unsigned (Kamakura)
Length:9.495 cm or 3.74 inches ×1.42cm or 0.56inches.
Jidai(era):middle Edo period.
On the surface of Iron plate is engraved typical Kamakura Tsuba .
There are a bridge,wrock and trees are engraved.
Kamakura Tsuba was called as Kamakura Tsuba from ancient time because
of the similar design of Kamakurabori which is made by the craft man of
Japanese Urushi racker.
Generally speaking, Kamakura Tsuba must be thin and round small high edge
like Katyuusi Tsuba.
This Tsuba feels quite old and create a splendid atmosphere with a bold
pattern.
The Kamakura tsuba goes well with Tensyo Koshirae.
Jidai(era): Muromachi period.
It is rather hard to collect this kind of Tsuba even in Japan.
