Saya : Very vivid Aogai (blue shell) Mijin-nuri style Saya. Uppe part is Kizami style.
Daisho Fuchi Kashira: signature: Yokoya Tomotsune (Kao): On the Shakudo nanako plate, peony flowers and Shishi-dog are engraved with gold color.
Daisho Menuki : On the Shakudo plate, peony flowers and Shishi-dog are engaved with gold color.
Daisho Tsuba : On the Tatemaru shaped Shakudo nanako Tsuba, peony flowers and Shishi-dogs are engraved with gold color.
Kozuka: On the Shakudo nanako plate, peony flowers and Shishi-dogs are engraved with Kin-mon (gold color).
Rim and backside is colored with gold.
Special feature: Yokoya Tomotsune and Ishiguro Tomotsune was a same person.
In 1802, he was born as a son of Nagatsune, in Yonezawa, Dewa province.
He was called Yosaburo.
He moved to Edo, and he studied at both Yokoya school and Ishiguro school.
Therefore he carved both signature Yokoya Tomotsune and Ishiguro Tomotsune.
This Daisho Koshirae has very vivid Aogai Mijin-nuri Saya.
All fittings are made with high quality Shakudo plate, and peony flowers and Shishi-dogs design.
Engraving is the top quality, and very gorgeous.
The both Koshirae is perfect condition without flaw.
This set of Koshirae has passed NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Paper.
