Appraisal Quiz

Answer #5 previous answer is Oumi Daijyo Fujiwara Tadahiro.

If you look at the Jigane, you find that it is nice Konuka hada which is typical Hizen blade.
But it is difficult to judge the signature from the Hamon.
Tadahiro. doesn’t touch the Hamon to the corner of hamachi area.
Generally hizen blade has same special feature except first generation Tadayoshi. But late Tadayosi,Jyunin Tadayoshi, Musashi daijyo Tadayoshi keep this style. and after that 2nd Tadahiro 3rd Mutsu and also later generation keep this style.
If you find hizen blade especially Tadahiro, please check this point. If the Hamon touch the corner of the Hamachi, you shoud doubt the signature.
This is very important point to check the blade is good or not.
(please do not say anybody this secret point, Ha ha ha ha.)
Generally Hizen sword is very thin kawagane.
This hizen jigane is quite nice but easy to open or break after polish.
So singane (inside if the steal) will appear easily.
This is faults of hizen swords.
If you need polishing hizen blade, you should ask the polisher to polish careful attention.
