Appraisal Quiz

Answer previous answer was Mumei (unsigned) Ichimonji (Fukuoka Ichimonji)
(The 55th NBTHK Juyo Token.)

Special feature : The Ichimonji School had been prospered in Bizen
province from early Kamakura to Namboku-cho period as well as Osafune School.
It is said that the Emperor Go-Toba allowed first Ichimonji swordsmiths
to engrave “Ichi” on Nakago.
The Ichimonji School was divided broadly into four categories: classical
Ko-Ichimonji in the early years, brilliant Fukuoka-Ichimonji of the middle
period, and brilliant Yoshioka-Ichimonji in the last period and Katayama-Ichimonji.
Early Ichimonji has Ko-midare Hamon not Choji midare, like a Ko-Bizen school.
But in middle-term, Ichimonji has brilliant Choji midare, and Midare-Utsuri.

This blade is Fukuoka Ichimonji school that was the most brilliant in Ichimonji school.
And there are many activities in Ha, and Hamon is very active.
Both Jitetsu and Hamon are top quality in Fukuoka Ichimonji school.
Additionally, Nakago is Ubu . It’s very precious.
This blade has passed NBTHK Juyo Shinsa in last year.
We strongly recommend this excellent Fukuoka Ichimonji blade in Kamakura period.
