Appraisal Quiz

Answer previous answer was Dewanokuni ju Taikei Shoji Naotane (Kao)

1: At a glance, the blade looks like Koto blade because of the Hamon, Utsuri and shape.
But the Jigane is rather tight koitame and komokume hada.
So it is rather different from Koto blade.
2: Nakago shape is round and also omotemei and Uramei.
So it is easier to judge the blade must be Shinto or shinshinto blade.
3: Naotane is quite skilful to make copies of Koto blade.
He made various school Bizen den, Sosyu den style. Mino den, Yamato den.
Especially his Sosyu den, and Bizen den are remarkable subjects.
Many years ago, I watched Naotane sosyu style sword which is his most excellent work.
This blade was made as Bizenden style which is wonderful Utsuri and noce work and also jigane.
