Special feature : Motoshige was swordsmith of Osafune school in late Kamakura period.
In “Shinkan Hiden-sho” that was published in Muromachi period,
there are following descriptions “His Jitetsu is black and similar to
Bicchu school Tachi. And his forging is excellent.”.
On the surface his blade looks like a Aoe school actually.
This blade’ shape is Nanbokucho period style, and Jitetsu reminds Aoe school.
And Jitetsu is very good and there are many nice activities in Ha.

Blade length : 67.11 cm or 26.42 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.80 cm or 1.10 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 1.95 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.

Shape : Oosuriage Mumei. Sori is rather deep.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach.
And Utsuri appear.
Hamon : Koniedeki Chouji midare and Ko-chouji midare are mixed.
In Ha, there are much Ashi and Kinsuji.
Boushi is Midarekomi
