Special feature : Sadatsuna was swordsmith in Sekishu province,
and continued 3 generations.
It is generally believed that Sadatsuna the First was
a son of Sekisyu Naotsuna. Naotsuna has been counted among Masamune-juttetsu, the best brilliant ten pupils of Masamune in Soshu.
Sekishu province, present Shimane pref.
Sekishu province had been prospered by good quality iron, the clan forged excellent swords for generations.

Sadatsuna blades sometimes looks like a Mino blade or Shinto on the surface.
Hamon is Gunome midare with deep Nioikuchi and activities in Ha are very attractive.
It is typically Sadatsuna’s Hamon.

Width at the hamachi : 2.67 cm or 1.05 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 1.83 cm or 0.72 inches.
Kasane : 0.60 cm or 0.23 inches.

Shape : Regular sized Osuriage mumei Wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with small Jinie and Chikei attach.
It’s very elegant Jitetsu.
Hamon : Koniedeki Suguha with soft Ashi and bright Nioikuchi.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi and small Kinsuji.
Boshi is round Kaeri and there are double-Ha and triple-Ha.
