Special feature : It is said that the Echigo no Kami Kanesada the 2nd was born in
Mino or Kochi province. He learned under Kanesada the First at Osaka
and later became a son-in-law. Kanesada the 2nd was superior to the Kanesada the 1st
and ranked at Owazamono. Excellent workmanship was on the same
level with Tsuda Sukehiro and Inoue Shinkai.
After retirement, though practically gave the swordsmith name
Echigo no Kami Kanesada to his real son Yamada Iwamatsu,
the Second Kanesada continued forging sword under the name of Sakakura Gonnoshin Terukane.

This blade is the best quality blade in Kanesada blades.
And this blade looks like a Sukehiro blade.

Sori : 1.68 cm or 0.66 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.81 cm or 1.10 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 1.68 cm or 0.66 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.

Shape : Osuriage-mumei. Wide and thick Katana. There are Bou-hi on the both side, and Bou-hi reach the Nakagojiri.
Jitetsu : Itame works well grained, and covered in Jinie and much Chikei.
Hamon : Nie based Suguha. Habuchi is soft.There are active Ashi in Ha.
And there are Sunagashi and Kinsuji in Ha.
