Special feature : Sikkake school was founded by Norinaga.
This blade is typical Yamato school especialy Shikkake school.
Shikkake School of Yamato province prospered present Tenri City in Nara pref.
The name Shikkake was from Shikkake-ishi, the stone pedestal settling
down the portable shrine to take a rest on the way of religious services.?

This blade has excellent Jitetsu and Hamon.
Nioikuchi is very soft, and this Gunome midare reminds us Koto blade.
Activities in Ha are very attractive.
And this blade has Yamato blades’ features.
There are a few small flaws around the Hamachi of Sashi-ura side.
But it is inconspicuous.

Blade length : 65.6 cm or 25.82 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 3.07 cm or 1.20 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.20 cm or 0.86 inches.
Kasane : 0.70 cm or 0.27 inches.

Shape : Wide and thick Katana with Sori. It is nice shape.
Jitetsu : Very tight Ko-nuka, and covered in Jinie. It is glossy Jitetsu.
Hamon : Ko-nie based, Suguha. Nioikuchi is very deep.
Kissaki is round shape with deep Nioikuchi.
