Appraisal Quiz

Answer previous answer was Sagami no kuni junin Hiromitsu.

(Chu-Koto, Saijosaku. Sagami province.)

Special features : Hiromitsu was swordsmith in Sagami province.
And first generation is in about Enbun era.(about 1356)
It is said Hiromitsu the first was called Kuro Saburo.
He was a student of Masamune, and he was a one of the most popular
Soshuden swordsmith.
Most his blades are wide Tanto with thin Kasane and Saki-zori.

This blade’s hamon has Tobiyaki, and Hitatsura style.
There are Sunagashi and small Kinsuji and Inazuma in Ha, and blade is the highest quality.
Also engraving is very nice, and we recommend strongly.

Blade length : 71.5 cm or 28.14 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.95 cm or 1.16 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.13 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.71 cm or 0.27 inches.

Shape : Wide and thick Katana. Shape is very nice.
Jitetsu : Very tight Ko-itame called Konuka hada. It is very beautiful Jitetsu.
Hamon : Nie based, Gunome midare with deep Nioikuchi.
There are much Sunagashi and Kinsuji in Ha.
This Hamon looks like cumulonimbus cloud.
