Appraisal Quiz

Special features : Masahiro was a swordsmith of Hizen province.
He was born as the first son of Yoshinobu and became a son-in-law of the first Tadayoshi. Masahiro got the title of Kawachi Daijo in 1628.
It is said that Masahiro supported Omi Daijo Tadahiro and the head family.
Masahiro passed away in 1665, aged 59.
His brilliant hamon reminds us of a cumulonimbus cloud in summer. Many sword collectors love his hamon that is rich in originality.

Hint:

Blade length : 53.2 cm or 20.94 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.95 cm or 1.16 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 1.95 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.

Shape : Osuriage-mumei. Regular sized Wakizashi with rather deep Sori and rather long Kisssaki.
Bo-hi are engraved on the both sides.
Jitetsu : Itame and Masame are mixed, and covered in Jinie.
Hamon : Nie based. Suguha with deep Nioikuchi and Gunome and Notare are mixed.
There are much Sunagashi and Kinsuji in Ha.
Boshi is round shaped and Hakikake style.
