Appraisal Quiz

Answer previous answer was Hizen no kuni junin Tadayoshi saku.(1st generation)

Special features : The 1st generation Tadayoshi was the most famous Hizen swordsmith in Shinto age.
And Tadayoshi was ranked Shinto Saijo-saku, Saijo-Owazamono.
He was a father of Omi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro.
He was called Hashimoto Sinzaemon, and he lived in Nagase area of Hizen province.
In 1596, He moved to Edo, and he started to study under Umetada Myoju.
In 1598, he returned to Hizen province, and he started to live near the Saga castle.
In 1624, he was allowed to engrave “Musashi Daijo” in his signature ,
and he changed the signature to “Tadahiro”.
He passed away on August 15 in 1632, aged 61.
From around 1610~1620, Tadayoshi engraved “Junin” in his signature

This blade’s signature is “Junin Tadayoshi“.
There are some rough skin parts on Jitetsu, but it is inconspicuous..
And this blade was made in his prime.

Blade length : 46.42 cm or 18.27 inches.
Sori : 1.21 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.92 cm or 1.14 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.39 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.

Shape : Osuriage Mumei Wakizashi. The blade shape is wide and thick, with long Kissaki.
Jitetsu : Flowing Mokume, covered in much Jinie and Chikei. There is Utsuri on Jitetsu.
Hamon : Konie based, Gunome. Therea are many Ashi and Yo and small Kinsuji.
Boshi is not so clear, but Jitetsu and Hamon of other parts are very beautiful.
