The blade was polished .
Blade length : 66.96 cm or 26.36 inches.
Sori : 2.73 cm or 1.07 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.78 cm or 1.09 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.13 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura to Nanbokucyo period.period.
Shape : Both sides of the blade has Bohi.
The blade is rather wide and thick with deep Sori and long kissali
Oosuriage mumei(cut shortened) nice looking sword.
Jitetsu :Itame hada and Mokume hada convined with Jinie attach and
also Chikei work. There are sme lose hada appear but not so bad.
On the Ji, some thin Utsuri appear.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha hamon.
Special feature : Osafune Kagemasa was a student of
the Kagemitsu.
But we think the blade looks like Enjyu not Bizen school.
If you send the blade to the NBTHK, the blade will pass as Enjyu or Komihara.
Anyway the blade is typical old Koto late Kamakura period nice sword.The
Kantei(appraisal) at NBTHK is very strict.
Even if Dr. Kanzan sensei issued old Kanteisyo, the appraisal will be changed
to Enjyu or Komihara.
Anyway the blade was made around late Kamakura to early Nanbokucyo
period. The lade is nice sword.
Before the blade is shaby so I polished touch up polisy by myself.
After polish, Bo Utsuri appear and visible to see the clear texture.
Of course my polish tecnique is not good.
So if you buy this sword, we recommend to polish again by high ranking
polisher.
We recommend this sword for you.
On the Tang, some red mark is mentiond which looks like old Syumei.
The Nakago is fantastic Keicyo suriage nakago which is engraved Kakinagashi and
other side is Kakitoushi style.
