Blade length : 73.32 cm or 28.86 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.03 cm or 1.19 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.07 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.79 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Edo period. Kansei era.
Shape : This blade was wide and thick Katana with long kissaki and Sori.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Koniedeki , tight Suguha.
Special feature : Tadayoshi the 6th was Swordsmith in Hizen province in about Kansei era.
His was son of Tadayoshi the 5th. And he was called Hashimoto Shinzaemon.
He engraved the signature “Tadahiro” while his father was alive.
He was allowed to sign “Oumi no kami ” in 1790, and he succeed to “Tadayoshi ”.
He passed away on December 6th,1815.
His blades’ features are well grained Koitame hada, and Konie around the edge of Hamon.
And he forged Notare and Suguha and Choji midare also.
This blade’s Jitetsu is very well grained Koitame hada.
And the condition is very nice. We strongly recommed this fantastic Hozon blade.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the Mokko shaped Shakudo Tsuba, autumn plants and autumn insects are engraved with gold color Iroe.
And the rim is upped and colored with gold color Iroe.
Fuchikashira : On the Shakudo plate, flowers and Chinese men are engraved with gold color Iroe.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki : On the Shakudo plate, monkey that leading horse is engraved with gold color Iroe.
