(Explanation:Sagakazu watched the sword which was made by his
great master Gassan Sadaktsu sword. The blade was made at 13th of
Syowa new years day for Mr Ichizo Imagawa and protecting him from
disaster, misfortune and hoping as the most important sword.
The blade is a copy of the great Sosyu school Masamune who was working at Late Kamakura period.
In Japan, most sword makers try hard to make swords to catch up with the technology of great Masamune.

He was appreciated his master’s masterpiece of the blade and appreciated from the bottom of heart and wrote the sayagaki at Syowa 47th year lucky day. Sadakazu.)

Sori : 2.6cm or 1.02 inches.
Width at the hamachi :3.35 cm 1.31 or inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.31 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Jidai(era)Early Syowa period. (January, 1938)
Shape :The blade is wide and thick with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon:Niedeki gunome midare up and down and in Ha, there are many sunagashi and small kinsuji work.

Special feature : Gassan Sadakatsu was born in 1869, the first son of
Gassan Sadakazu in Osaka. He learned the skill of making swords from his father.
At Meiji era, he assisted his father and made a lot of swords as daisaku
which means makind swords insted of his father.
Sadakatsu’s skills are marvelous especially classic Ayasugi hada that
the Gassan School was renowned for since Koto times at Ousyu
province and also Bizen and Soshu style works as well. Not only
Sadakatsu but also other uncountable sword makers desiring skillful
copies of works by famous swords smiths such as Masamune and the
Ko-Bizen school. This sword is trying to make Masamune desiring to
skill up his ability and succeeded.
His son Gassan Sadakazu who got the national human treasure
appreciated this father’s masterpiece sword and expressed his
gratitude. The blade is very healthy and fantastic work bith Jigane and Hamon.
