Signature: Hizen no kuni ju Omi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro.
(Shinto Jo-josaku, Owazamono, Hizen province)

Blade length : 70.89 cm or 27.90 inches.
Sori : 1.65 cm or 0.64 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.99 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Early Edo period.about Kanbun era(about 1661),
Shape : The blade width is wide, and thickness is average.
The blade shape is very nice with Sori.
Jitetsu : Very tight Ko-itame covered in Jinie. It’s called Konuka hada.
There are some small flaws.
Hamon : Nie based, Suguha. Nioikuchi is wide.

Special feature : Omi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro was a 2nd generation of Tadayoshi.
But he didn’t engrave signature “Tadayoshi”.
He lived long enough to make many swords.
His made mainly Suguha Hamon with wide Nioikuchi, and those blades reminds us Rai-Kunimitsu.

Historical Background: Matsudaira Nobutsuna passed away in 1662.
