Naginata in Shirasaya

Signature: Noshu Seki ju Kanetaka

The blade was polished .
Blade length : 46.5 cm or 18.30 inches.
Sori : 2.6 cm or 1.02 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.87 cm or 1.12 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Muromachi period.
Shape : Rather wide and long Naginata with nice shape.
Kenmaki-ryu is engraved on the Sashi-omote side, and Bonji is engraved on the Sashi-ura side.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach. It is black Jitetsu.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha and Komidare are mixed. In Ha, there are much Ashi and Yo and much Sunagashi and Kinsuji.
Boshi is rather tight Kaeri style.

Special feature : Kanetaka was swordsmith in Seki of Mino province.
And he was descended form San-ami school in late Muromachi period.
But this blade looks older than late Muromachi period.
Anyway, Deki is very nice, and condition is very healthy without Kizu or flaw.
Shirasaya is new one.
