| Taihai(shape):The blade was cut shorten
and regular size which is nice looking shape. |
|
| From this work, the blade looks like Rai Kunitoshi
itself but from the Shirake Utsuri and round Boshi which is rather too big
sized Boshi, and also shallow Kaeri(return Hamon), NBTHK decided to appraise
this sword as Enjyu. But I think the blade has Cyu suguha hamon and a lot of works in Ha, the blade looks Rai Kunitoshi. This is just only my opinion. the founder of Enjyu school was a grandson of Rai Kuniyuki (Taro Kunimura) and prosper by Kunitoki,Kunimura,Kuniyasu and also Kunitsuna which succeeded Rai style. Koshirae:Saya:black roiro saya. Tsuba:On the suaka(copper) the prum flowers are engraved with gold color and Syakudo Fukurin(rim is made by Syakudo) Menuki:On the syakudo plate, the acorn are engraved with gold color (azuchi momoyama (early Edo period) Fuchikashira:On the syakudo nanako plate, Karakusamoyo(leaves style) was inlayed by gold.
