(Choshu Yasuyoshi, Ubu-Mumei blade. Jitetsu and Hamon has
characteristic of Samonji school. This blade was made in around Oei era.
Blade length is 28.92cm. Mr. Tanobe sensei wrote this Sayagaki in July 2010.)

Width at the hamachi : 2.7 cm or 1.06 inches.
Kasane : 0.53 cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : Late Nanbokucyo period to early Muromachi.
Shape : The blade is Mitsumune style and rather longer Tanto.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach blackish visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Niedeki kogunome midare and from thee hamachi area, active sosyu style with a lot of sunagasi and kinsuji.

Special feature : Chosyu Yasuyoshi was a son of the 2nd generation Yasuyoshi.
He succeeded his father and moved to Chosyu province from Chikuzen province.
The Jitetsu and hamon looks like his father’s.
The blade is Itame hada visible to see like Kyushu sword makers.
The blade is Ubu mumei but a lot of impressive work which was high
reputation Koto Jojo saku ranking.
The sword sayagaki was written by Mr.Tanobe sensei.

Historical background: In 1338, Ashikaga Takauji became the first shogun of the Muromachi shogunate.
