Signature: Hisyu Kawachi no kami Fujiwara no Masahiro (NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Paper)


The blade was polished .
Blade length : 51.0 cm or 20.07 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.25 cm or 1.27 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.29 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : Both sides od the blade has Bo-HI is engraved.
The blade is waide and thick with long lissaki nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach and also Chikei work.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha hamon with thick nioikuchi.
In ha, there are many ashi and yo work and also sunagashi and Kinsuji work.

Special feature : Kawachi (No) Kami Masahiro was born as a son of Kawachi Daijo Masahiro
the First in 1627 and passed away in 1699. Kawachi (No) Kami Masahiro was very good
at gunome-midare. He also tempered suguha-hamon and other kinds midare-ba.
It was in common with deep nioi-kuchi.
This sword looks like fantastic Oumi Daijyo Fujiwara Tadahiro.
Especialy thick Nioikuchi and hataraki.
