Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature: Sesshu Osaka ju Fujiwara Nagamichi (Shinto Chu-josaku,Settsu province.)

The blade was polished .
Blade length : 51.8 cm or 20.39 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.97 cm or 1.16 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.10 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Early Edo period. about Kanbun era.(about 1661)
Shape : Early Edo period. about Kanbun era. (about 1661)
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with Jinie attach.
On the surface, this Jitetsu looks like a Kunihiro school.
Hamon : Niedeki Gunome midare with Tobiyaki.
There are Ashi in Ha.

Special feature : Nagamichi was a swordsmith at Settsu province in
about Kanbun era, and he was called Doi Rokube.
He also made swords at Edo.

This blade’s hamachi is nice condition, and this blade has NBTHK Hozon Paper.
Habaki is rare design gold habaki.

Koshirae : This Koshirae was made in Edo period. And Deki is nice.
Tsuba: On the Mokko shaped iron Tsuba, Koi-sennin (hermits on carp)
and geese are engraved.(middle Edo perido.)
Fuchikashira :On the iron plate, silver inlaid.
Kojiri: made with iron plate.
Saya : Kairagi Saya.
Menuki : On the Shakudo plate, bamboo grass and crab are engraved with gold color iroe.
Kozuka Kogatana : On the Shakudo nanako plate, cow wagon and
people are engraved with gold color iroe.
