Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae (NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho Paper)

The blade was polished .
Blade length : 34.2 cm or 13.46 inches.
Sori : 0.5 cm or 0.19 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.92 cm or 1.14 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Late Edo period. about Kaei era (1848)
Shape : This bkade is massive Shobu-zukuri Wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained and Masa-nagare with Jinie.
On the Sashi-ura, there are Sumi-gumori. And Kissaki has rough skin part.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha and Notare are mixed. In Ha, there are Koashi.

Special feature : Saneo was born as a son of Yamaura Nobukaze in
Akaiwa village , Komoro area Shinano province.
And he was a big brother of Kiyomaro.
He and Kiyomaro studied under Suishinshi Hideyo and Kawamura Yasutaka.

This blade was appraised as Saneo in Shinano province.
This blade has some small flaws. But Deki is very nice.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the round iron Tsuba, Kiku flower is inlaied with brass.
Fuchikashira : On the iron plate, flowers are engraved with gold color iroe.
Saya : Black Ishime-ji Saya.
Menuki : On the shakudo plate, flower is engraved.
Kozuka Kogatana : On the iron plate, plants are engraved with copper plate.
